Chocolate Crème Brûlée

This is one of my favourite recipes, its really easy to make and takes no time at all to prepare.

Serves 6

  • 3oz Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 3oz Caster Sugar and a little extra for later
  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 2oz Full Fat Milk
  • 15oz Double Cream

  1. Mix together the caster sugar and egg yolks in a heatproof bowl and place to the side.
  2. Boil the milk and cream.
  3. When boiled, add the chopped chocolate, stir, then pour over the egg and sugar mixture.
  4. Divide into 6 ramekins and put them into a Bain-marie, then into a preheated oven (140oC) for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and leave in Bain-marie until cool.
  6. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  7. Sprinkle over caster sugar and place under grill until golden.
  8. Let cool before eating.
