Sourcing Local Matters…


Eating seasonally makes it easier to source local produce. Our butcher only supplies us with British meat, sourced as close to home as possible – often from Kent or East Sussex. We also use locally sourced fruit and vegetables whenever we can. Most important of all it means we are providing you with the freshest of ingredients when they are at their very best, and quite literally bursting with flavour!

We have carefully selected many of our fabulous wines based on their organic status. We give preference to suppliers who use agricultural methods that reflect our own ethical and sustainable goals. One of our wines comes from Meopham Valley whose vineyard is just 24 miles from our professional kitchen, a truly local British wine!

‘Location, Location, Location’ As an ethical business we like to keep it local, so we use homegrown suppliers who are on our doorstep and who we know love their produce just as much as we love cooking with it! We want to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum, which means that a supplier’s location is just as important to us as the product and service they are supplying.

We believe in supporting small, independent, local businesses like ourselves;
our butcher, fishmonger, bread maker and even our florist and IT support
are all based within a 3 to 4 mile radius.
