A Sizzling Summer Soiree at the Garden Museum!

I have to say that there is no better place to be on a balmy summers evening than at the Garden Museum, London.  And that is exactly where we were on Saturday evening when temperatures reached 30 degrees in the shade!

This venue overlooks the Thames as well as the Palace of Westminster and is right next door to Lambeth Palace so it is is very well located, not only for Central London Weddings but also – as on this occasion – special milestone birthday celebrations.  It was a Black Tie event and the heat didn’t deter the gentlemen who arrived suited and booted while the ladies were of course stunning in their ballgowns.

Our “Garden within a garden” proved to be as popular a canapé as always, served alongside some of my all time favourites which included the show stopping Quails Eggs Benedict Royale (even the chefs who have the arduous task of poaching over 100 of the little blighters love them once they are done)!

Our tiny Buck Wheat Blinis were a triumph and guests loved the edible pansies dusted on top like confetti.  Of course, no summer party would be complete without a Pecorino Sable, the oven roasted cherry tomatoes and pesto really zing with summer flavour!

Guests were served by our charming, experienced and very hard working team….Izzy and Katie, we thank you for your hard work, especially on such a hot evening.

If you are looking for a super summer wedding venue and are considering Central London as a location then we would highly recommend the Garden Museum as a first class venue that can host a Wedding Breakfast for 120 guests.  The Garden and Nave work well as a reception space and chill out area for after dinner where guests can escape from the dancefloor and enjoy a quiet coffee if they wish to, before returning to party for the rest of the evening.
